Canine Assisted Activity Morning

Southwell Scout Hut

Saturday 01 Feb 2020 10:30

Once selected, tickets will be reserved for 7 mins

This canine assisted activity morning is jam packed with awesome dog themed things to do! There will be a guided dog grooming workshop and lots of group and parachute games as well as a self guided treasure hunt (which you can go and do as a family or in small groups) AND calming dog picture colouring.

These sessions are a great opportunity for young people to make new friends, build confidence and learn new skills. This morning is also great for your dogs socialisation and to promote the bond between your dog and the young person.

No dog? no problem! Our sessions are open to all children & young people under 25 with additional needs, their family, carers, friends or pretty much anyone else they wish to bring along with them. We aim to have several therapy dogs at the canine assisted activity mornings for non dog owners to get some hands on experience and therapy with a dog.

**families dogs attending must not be raw fed, must have recieved their puppy vaccines and must be friendly with other dogs and children.

Atleast 1 participant per family MUST be under 25 and have an additional need/ disability though this doesn?t need to be formally diagnosed.
